What Do You Believe?

Foreword:  The following are foundational tenants of the Christian faith that unite believers in Jesus Christ around the world and are meant to help answer questions which may arise from those exploring this ministry.  We value your interest in growing in the things of Christ who brought us all Grace and Truth.

We Believe the Holy Scriptures testify of Jesus Christ

The written words of the Holy Scriptures, in the original manuscripts, are divinely inspired, inerrant and are the authority in matters of faith and conduct. The Bible contains everything God intended to be known for salvation, and is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness so believers may be equipped for every good work. The Old Testament was the shadow of better things to come, testifying of Jesus Christ. The New Testament is the perfect expression of God’s will and character through Jesus Christ. The Epistles champion the New Covenant by revealing what Christ has done for us, to us and what He desires to do through us.

Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 4:4; Luke 24:27; Acts 17:11; Romans 10:17, 15:4, 16:25-26; Galatians 3:21-22; 1 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21, 3:15-16

We Believe in the Incarnation of Jesus Christ

The pre-existent divine person of Jesus Christ, the eternally begotten Logos (The Word of God), the second person of the Trinity (God the Son), took upon human nature and "was made flesh" by being conceived by the Holy Spirit, in the womb of the Virgin Mary.  He lived a sinless life, revealing to mankind the intentional power of God's love. He was Israel’s prophesied Messiah, anointed by God with the Holy Spirit and went around doing good and healing all oppressed by the devil. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, buried and dead.

Isaiah 7:14, 9:6; Matthew 1:22-23; Luke 1:35, John 1:14, 3:16; Acts 10:38; Philippians 2:6-7; Galatians 4:4-5; 1 John 4:2; 1 Timothy 3:16

We Believe in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

God The Father raised Jesus from the dead by His Holy Spirit, on the third day after His death by crucifixion, becoming the firstborn from among the dead, thereby ushering in the Kingdom of God and starting His exalted life as Christ the Lord.  The Resurrection of Jesus amounts to the Father's clear signal that Jesus is All Powerful, Reigns as Lord of all and holds the keys to death, hell and the grave.  The Resurrection demonstrates that Jesus's Blood of the New Covenant, saves His people from their sins.

Matthew 28:5-6, Mark 16:6, Luke 24:6-7, John 11:25-26; Acts 4:33, 24:15; Romans 1:4, 6:5, 6:9, 8:11; 1 Corinthians 6:14, 15:20-23; Philippians 3:10; 1 Thessalonians 4:14; 1 Peter 1:3, 1:21

We Believe in the Ascencion of Jesus Christ

Forty days after being resurrected from the dead, and after appearing to well over five-hundred people, and preaching the Kingdom of God, our LORD ascended in front of eleven of His apostles.  He went up Body and Soul into Heaven, by His own power, taking full possession of His exaltation, to be our Advocate and Mediator in Heaven with God the Father.  He ascended as man, as Head of the redeemed, sitting at the right hand of God and has prepared a dwelling place for all who put their trust in His sacrificial work.

John 3:13, 6:62, 14:2-3, 20:1; Luke 24:51; Acts 1:1-9, 7:55; Hebrews 1:3, 8:1, 10:12; 1 Peter 3:22

We Believe in the Church of Jesus Christ

There is one Holy Church composed of all born-again believers in Christ, regardless of denominational affiliation.  Jesus Christ, as the head of His body, builds His church. The church is both the governing authority of Christ on the earth and the family of God nurturing believers and teaching every believer with all wisdom to equip the body of Christ for the works of ministry and mature every believer into the unity of faith.  The church, as established by Christ is to make disciples and disciple nations with the Grace and Truth brought by Jesus Christ.
